Have you ever wondered how much the beach can change over the course of a week?  Here are some samples of how Montrose Dog Beach looked over the week of December 14 - 21, 2013.


The ridges look solid enough, but they are often over open water and may not bear your weight or your dog's weight. The ridges are often on island of ice and can reach 5 or 10 feet above the water surface.  They are built up mostly by wave action and freezing.
